Overview

LLDIMS began a B.Ed. course intending to provide training to students to become teachers. Since its inception, our department has been sincerely focused on developing competent teachers and empowering them to realize their potential and serve humanity. Students participate in various activities that support their cognitive, affective, cognitive, and psycho-social development to develop them into teachers for new citizens. Our B.Ed. program is recognized by NCTE. It is a two-year program designed by the affiliated university, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. LLDIMS has an intake of 100 students in the B.Ed. course. All admissions are based on candidates’ performance in the GGSIP University’s combined Entrance Test.

The vision of the department is to surge ahead in the academic sphere by transforming and reinventing the learning methodologies. It seeks to develop in each student the ability and passion to work creatively and effectively for the betterment of self and society.

To produce professionally competent teachers along with relevant skills by adopting the latest curriculum and using advanced technological tools. 

Career Opportunities

A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree can lead to various career opportunities in education. Some common job titles for B.Ed. Graduates include:

  • Classroom teacher: B.Ed. graduates can teach subjects such as math, science, English, or history in primary or secondary schools.
  • Special education teachers work with children with learning or physical disabilities, such as autism or Down syndrome.
  • Curriculum developers create educational materials such as lesson plans and textbooks and assist in the design of curricula for schools or educational programs.
  • Adult education teacher: Adult education teachers teach literacy, English as a Second Language (ESL), or basic education classes to adult learners.
  • Educational researchers conduct research on topics such as student learning, teaching methods, and educational policy in order to improve education and support decision making.
  • Roles of non-profit and government organizations: B.Ed. graduates can also work in non-profit or government organizations focused on education and social services, such as educational advocacy groups or youth development programs.

Some B.Ed. graduates may choose to further their education by pursuing a graduate degree, such as a Master of Education (M.Ed.) or Doctor of Education (Ed.D.), which can lead to additional career opportunities and opportunities for advancement in the field of education.
